Boots, Bulls and Cold Beer: Honky-Tonkin ’Bout Brings Nashville Flavor to Downtown Smyrna
By Mike Sparks
Downtown Smyrna has a new heartbeat — and it comes with live music, the smell of a good steak, and the roar of a mechanical bull.
Honky-Tonkin ‘Bout has officially opened its doors at 1 N. Lowry Street, taking over the former Print Shop restaurant space and bringing with it everything you’d expect from a classic Tennessee saloon and steakhouse — cold beer, neon lights, boots on the dance floor, the largest selection of whiskey behind the bar, and yes, that mechanical bull.
I had the pleasure of welcoming owner Juston Sprinkle, along with Ginny Williams and Rodger Thomas, onto Conversations with Mike Sparks on WGNS Radio — and I have to say, the excitement in that conversation was contagious. These are folks who believe in Smyrna, and it shows in what they’ve built.
