Commissioner McAdoo Nears Half-Century of Service to Rutherford County
Rutherford County, TN — Allen McAdoo, a beloved fixture in local government, is seeking another four-year term on the County
Commission that would push his service past the remarkable 50-year milestone. With over 47 years already dedicated to Rutherford County, McAdoo has earned widespread respect for his hands-on leadership and focus on efficient projects that deliver real tax savings for residents.
McAdoo has spent recent months thoughtfully engaging constituents, listening to their concerns while collecting signatures for his election petition.

His long tenure includes chairing the Property Management Committee for many years, where he guided major builds like the $73 million Rutherford County Judicial Center and parking garage, completed in 2018.
Pushing Forward Major Infrastructure
McAdoo is championing several high-impact projects set to benefit the county.
A key highlight is the upcoming $15 million Forensic Center on Weakley Lane in north Smyrna,
designed for autopsies in homicide cases and beyond. “That’s going to be a beautiful thing once we get it going,” McAdoo shared with The Daily News Journal. “It will save the county money, and citizens won’t face long waits—helping law enforcement directly.”
These efforts underscore McAdoo’s knack for cost-effective development, stretching tax dollars further while improving public safety and services.
Advocating for District 18
In his District 18—covering central, southeast, and south Murfreesboro—McAdoo supports smart private development under city oversight.

He’s backing the Keystone commercial and residential project along Broad and Church streets, near City Hall and Linebaugh Library. He also pushes for widening Bradyville Pike (State Highway 99), a critical two-lane road upgrade long in the planning.
Both initiatives promise economic boosts and better traffic flow, aligning with McAdoo’s vision for sustainable growth that minimizes taxpayer burden.
