La Vergne hires Illinois native Kevin Causley as boys basketball coach, replacing Tony Rutland

According to the Daily News Journal, La Vergne went out of state to find its next boys basketball coach. Kevin Causley, who most recently coached in Peoria, Illinois, was hired as the Wolverines’ boys coach on May 30, replacing Tony Rutland, who resigned to take the same position at Oakland in April. “This is an incredible opportunity,” Causley said.
