M’Boro, Tenn. – Nourish Food Bank is entering a new chapter with the appointment of Erin R. Floyd as its next Executive Director. Floyd officially takes the reins on July 6th, bringing an extensive background in Middle Tennessee nonprofit leadership.She most recently worked as the Director of Grants and Community Initiatives for the United Way of South Central Tennessee. Her past experience also includes roles as a Partnership Manager for Second Harvest Food Bank and Outreach and Volunteer Manager for St. Luke’s Community House.
Local leaders are already celebrating the move. Tracey Alderdice, Vice President of Community Impact at Second Harvest, highlighted Floyd’s past contributions and expressed full confidence in her ability to lead Nourish forward.
Floyd holds a Master of Arts from Northwestern University’s Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary and multiple certifications from the Wimberly School of Nonprofit Leadership.
The work ahead is vital for Rutherford County. Nourish Food Bank fed more than 75,000 people last year across its hubs in Murfreesboro, Smyrna, and Nashville. The organization also partners with Rutherford County Schools’ ATLAS program to provide over 175 bags of weekend food to students experiencing homelessness every single week. Floyd lives in downtown Murfreesboro with her spouse and says she is deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside local staff, volunteers, and supporters to meet community needs with compassion and dignity.
