Comedian Chris Rock took the stage at the Kennedy Center’s Mark Twain Prize ceremony honoring Adam Sandler for his contributions to American humor. Rock entertained the crowd with a few wild jokes, including jabs at former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and members of President Biden’s administration in attendance. He also made humorous comments about former President Donald Trump and his alleged affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels. Rock joked that arresting Trump would only make him more popular, comparing it to arresting Tupac and boosting his record sales. He also quipped that paying off Daniels to avoid his wife finding out about his infidelity was “romantic.”

Rock also took a jab at President Biden’s age, joking that Trump was so bad that “Joe Biden had to burst off a monument” and that “Biden was dead for 16 years.” However, he gave a shoutout to Paul Pelosi, who was present with Nancy Pelosi in the audience, saying that he was the only one who understood how he felt.
While Trump is facing criminal charges for payments made to Daniels, he denied the allegations about the affair. Trump had previously tweeted on his social media platform Truth Social, suggesting that he would be arrested soon, but a spokesman clarified that Trump had not written the post with direct knowledge of the timing of any arrest.
