I write to let you know that we are cancelling this year’s annual Men of Valor breakfast.
As you can imagine, our board and staff are disappointed that we will not have a chance to gather this April to praise God for how He is using our ministry to share the love of Christ to others in Middle Tennessee.
We decided to cancel this year’s breakfast as calls from health and government officials have intensified in recent days, but also so as to not spread this disease to our community’s most vulnerable population.
It’s hard to make sense of all of this, but our staff and board have found encouragement in scripture – particularly by the words of the Apostle Paul in Colossians 1:17 “… He [Jesus] is before all things and in Him all things hold together.” God is ALWAYS the one who is holding everything together. And just as He is holding things together when we feel ‘secure’, He is STILL holding things together when things feel less stable. “The Lord IS my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped.” (Psalm 28:7)
Please know that Men of Valor cannot minister to the incarcerated without your support. Thank you for all you do.
We will be reaching out to you soon about how you can continue to support us this year.
May God continue to bless you abundantly, Raul Lopez Executive Director
