Fighting to Defend Life

By Bobbie Patray

Earlier this week, I told you about an encouraging new report from the CDC announcing that abortions have hit an all-time low since Roe v. Wade was decided back in 1973.

It seems that more babies are being saved than ever before!

With your continued support and involvement, the pro-life movement is gaining momentum and changing the hearts and minds of citizens across America.

Until her death in 2016, Phyllis Schlafly (founder and president of Eagle Forum), was widely credited with working hard to see that the Republican Party platform became strongly pro-life. She is even referred to as “the reason the GOP is pro-life.”

In response to Roe v. Wade, “Phyllis Schlafly and others like her began a decades-long fight to make the Republican Party a pro-life party. That fight continues to this day.”

Phyllis recognized that this is an ongoing war to protect the lives of the most innocent among us.

As President Ronald Reagan said, “[She’s] been out front on so many of the most important issues of our time. [Her] work is an example to all those who would struggle for an America that is prosperous and free. Our nation needs the kind of dedicated service [Phyllis] and Eagle Forum have demonstrated. She’s darned effective.”Tennessee Eagle Forum is strongly committed to working with other pro-life Tennesseans to do everything in our power to protect life from conception until natural death.

As we fight to defend life, this verse has always given me comfort: “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10

During this season of giving, would you prayerfully consider a donation (not tax deductible) to the TN Eagle Forum?
