January 16th marks the first live podcast recording for Count Drahoon’s Feature of Fright

There is no cover charge, and the show starts at 7pm, which will include two stories performed in a live radio play style (complete with voice actors and live sound effects) and an in house interview with indie filmmaker Jeff Wedding. The interview with Wedding will center on his latest film Tennessee Gothic, a horror comedy film based on the Ray Russell short story “American Gothic”; a story involving small town America and a succubus demon.

The double feature of audio tales include such stories as “Factory Man”; set in 1960’s England, the play is told from the perspective of Neville, a young psychopath engaging in a deadly game of homicide with an unseen rival. The second tale “Meet Hank” follows Will Collins, a young accountant trying to balance the 9-5 work life, taking care of his ailing wife, and pursuing his dreams of becoming a writer. In the midst of his balancing act, a stranger walks into his life, who seems to know more about Will than he seems to remember telling him.

Both radio shows were written and directed by Taylor Gentry (creator of Count Drahoon’s Feature of Fright) and will feature local theatrical talent such as Ryan Parrow, Andrew Gately, Gregory Lannon, Travis Holmes, Chris Williams, and Drew Hinds.
